PRODUCER COMPENSATION

UPCIC sells insurance products and services through an extensive network of affiliated and non-affiliated independent insurance agents and brokers. These agents and brokers may be referred to as "producers." Producers are typically compensated on the basis of commissions as consideration for their placement of your insurance policy with UPCIC. Such compensation is generally a percentage of the policy premium for both new and renewal policies. The commission percentage varies according to factors, such as the type of product being written, and the state where a risk is located. ERA is compensated with a commission and/or policy fee for business placed with UPCIC. Other compensation incentives and promotions may be offered to producers from time to time.

OWNERSHIP INTEREST IN A PRODUCER

UPCIC is affiliated with ERA, Clovered, and Coastal Homeowners Insurance Specialists, Inc. (“Coastal”). UPCIC is licensed as a property and casualty insurance company in the states in which it transacts insurance. Clovered and Coastal are licensed producers in the states in which they operate. ERA is licensed and operates as a Managing General Agent in its state of incorporation and holds managing general agent and/or producer licenses in the states in which it operates.
